Lenore Loroña Stuart
The Honorable Lenore Loroña Stuart is a fifth generation Yuman. Her back ground is rich in local history. Her great grandfather was Jose Maria Redondo, well known in Yuma history, as rancher and entrepreneur in early Yuma, a member of the Territorial legislature, Yuma County Supervisor and the second Mayor of Yuma. Lenore is married to G.W. Stuart, Jr.

Lenore was raised in Yuma, attended Immaculate Conception School, Yuma High, AWC and NAU. She has been very active in the community in many local organizations such as Yuma Historical Society, Life member of the Friends of the Library, Yuma Fine Arts, Amberley's Place Board, Yuma Main St. Association, NAACP, Immaculate Conception Church and School ,Advisory Board, Yuma Democratic Central Committee, Yuma Chamber of Commerce, among others. Lenore is a graduate of many leadership schools: i.e. Latino National Leadership Program, Yuma Neighborhood Program and Yuma Leadership. Supervisor Stuart was also selected by the National Association of County elected officials to participate in the National County Leadership Institute in 2007.

Supervisor Stuart was elected to the Board of Supervisors as Supervisor for District 1 in 2000 and was reelected in 2004. she served as Vice-Chairman in 2002 and then as Chairman of the Board in 2003. Since her election to the Board of Supervisors she has served as member of the health Committee for the national County Supervisors Association; Board member of the National Association County Supervisors Association; Legislative Member to the County Supervisors Association of Arizona; Chamber of Commerce Legislative Committee; the Arizona and the Yuma Methamphetamine Board; Justice Alliance of Carver Park; and the Yuma County Airport Authority and Local Emergency Committee.

Lenore also serves a member of the Heritage Park Advisory Committee, Yuma Area Resource Water and Management Group, Visitors and Convention Bureau and Employee Benefits Trust for Yuma County. Governor Napolitano has appointed Supervisor Stuart to several committees: Governor's Military Affairs Committee; Governor's Latino Advisory Committee; Raul Castro Institute Board and she was appointed as one of the governor's Delegates to the White House Conference on Aging in 2007.
